Developing engaging and interactive courses can help to keep students engaged with the content, their peers, and their instructors. Instructors and instructional designers of online courses have oftentimes found ways to create opportunities for student-to-peer and student-to-instructor engagement and interaction but struggled to find ways to truly engage the student with the content. In this session, participants will see how Michigan Virtual University uses instructional strategies and free or low cost tools, such as H5P and Powtoons, to increase student-to-content engagement.
