This interactive workshop is for individuals, experienced or new, who must lead and/or support assessment initiatives on campus. Delivered from a Blackboard consultant perspective, the workshop will familiarize participants with major trends in assessment, introduce Blackboard’s assessment toolkit of products, and provide participants a broad plan by engaging them in conversations focused on prioritizing initiatives, soliciting support, developing an implementation plan, and learning about successful strategies to overcome barriers and resistance that limit forward movement. Participants will use an “assessment readiness framework” to review and share their institution’s readiness to implement technology-facilitated program or institutional assessment. This involves creating a thoughtful realistic project plan driven by a coalition and supported by a “volunteer army” that can serve as a spokesperson, role model, and leader moving the effort forward.
