Leveraging Blackboard solutions for program assessment: Four perspectives

Version 2

Assessment and accountability are significant pressures changing the landscape of education. Administrators, accreditors, politicians, parents, and students want more data to show that educational institutions of all types are providing a rigorous education, and that education has value. Every institution approaches this differently, based on culture, leadership, and external factors. This panel will share how 4 very different institutions have adopted Blackboard tools (such as Goals, Outcomes, Portfolios, or Rubrics) to facilitate gathering data on student learning at the course, program, and institution level.
