The presentation will provide information regarding the current changing educational conditions in Chile, including the implementation of new regulations, accreditation, international competitors, and the concept of gratuity. Then we will move into the idea of Complex Adaptive Systems, and the interpretation to the Higher Education system, including how it relates with the theory of chaos and the changing conditions of the environment. Finally, we will move deeper in how the Chilean Higher Education Industry and my specific institution are transforming their organizational structures and educational methodologies to embrace change as part of the internal culture, and be flexible enough to accept the reality of our scenario, which will be consistent with other industries in the acceleration of the transformation and the power of social structures that command these changes.
