BbWorld: Institutional change by design: The why’s and how’s for implementing a master course model

    The National Student Clearinghouse Research Center data reported an overall fall 2016 post-secondary enrollment decrease by 1.4 percent from the previous fall. However, Regent University experienced a 23% increase in fall 2016. Regent is on “the grow” and in pursuit of 10,000 students in 2017. This growth goal was inserted in a 2014 initiative to transition a large number of academic programs to an eight-week format, thereby making it possible to increase the number of course starts from three semesters to eight course terms. The Center for Teaching and Learning was challenged to find a way to make the course preparation and development process more efficient.
