Attend this session to see how the SUNY (State University of New York) System is working with campuses to ensure quality in online learning and the ways in which we are leveraging the LMS to address specific criteria in the Online Learning Consortium’s OLC Quality Scorecard. We will discuss how Open SUNY's Institutional Readiness process helps campuses understand what it takes to ensure quality in online learning and also where they stand relative to what it takes to ensure quality. We will also describe how system level shared services from both Open SUNY and SUNY ITEC (Information Technology Exchange Center) provide campuses with the level of technical and other support needed to meet several criteria of the Scorecard. Finally, we will share data from across the SUNY System to see where campuses are particularly strong, where we have identified opportunities for improvement when it comes to ensuring quality, and where we have collected best practices that can now be shared across the system to help all campuses improve.

Presenters: Kim Scalzo, Executive Director and Harry Cargile, Manager Application Services at Open SUNY & Israel Washington, LMS Services Manager, SUNY Information Technology Exchange Center
