Are you ready to maximize your current use of Blackboard Community? Looking for new ways to engage users? Take a look at the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) Blackboard ecosystem through the designer’s lens.

Through research and design the new SCAD Blackboard ecosystem recently evolved into a visually appealing presentation of tools, university information, and a wealth of dynamic content. The adoption of Blackboard Community provided SCAD the ability to create an aesthetically pleasing and dynamic template with content aimed to improve user experience. Key features include automated institution roles, curated module content, and enhanced customizations.

This presentation will discuss the various ways SCAD’s dynamic teaching and learning environment enhances professor and student interactions. Attendees will see examples of current instructional design and collaboration initiatives at SCAD. The examples will lay the foundation for a larger discussion about how Blackboard drives student engagement beyond the traditional classroom.

Presenter: Kristen Wheelock & Xiangrui (Owen) Meng, Instuctional Multimedia Manager, SCAD
