About a year ago, the instructional designers at Schoolcraft College started thinking about new and interesting ways we could bring meaningful professional development tips and tricks, that were both engaging and easily digestible, to our online faculty. The idea was to create short, engaging, on-demand videos that provided solutions to some of the biggest "problems" faculty face when teaching online. The overarching purpose of the web series is to create a culture of continued learning and development among distance learning professionals and faculty in order to provide the best possible learning experience for our students. In this session, we will discuss how we created a tool to engage faculty in a conversation, make our staff more accessible, improve outreach, and create an on-demand knowledge base for faculty; thereby improving course design and delivery - and, ultimately, student success.
