Channels and sections and pages and apps:  The flip side of a Schoolwires website

Version 1

In 2014, a rural Louisiana public school district (approximately 9,400 students) decided to abandon local hosting to ensure district and school websites remained online during emergency situations and to make webpage editing friendlier for classroom teachers. Now on the flip side of this transition, the district's web administrator is ready to share her experiences with others who are beginning the move to Schoolwires and its Centricity 2 authoring system or who are considering a Schoolwires solution. Workshop participants can login on their own devices to practice basic authoring skills made easy through the use of pre-created content blocks called apps. The session will conclude with a Top 10 list of tips and tricks for new web administrators and users, as well as links to editable support material created for classroom teachers and school-level web administrators.
