In keeping with its reputation for teaching innovation in pursuit of teaching excellence, the University of Pretoria (UP) was the first university in South Africa to: (a) integrate a Learning Management System (WebCT) into teaching and learning, (b) institutionalize mobile learning through the implementation of the Blackboard Mobile Learn application, and (c) support student success initiatives with the integration of Analytics for Learn.

The Blackboard Learning Management System, branded as clickUP at the University of Pretoria, is key to the University’s pursuit of teaching excellence. Moreover, ClickUP provides an integrated platform to support a range of interventions initiated by the University to enhance student success, including the recently launched FLY@UP, a project aimed at increasing the number of students graduating within the minimum time. This presentation will focus on the use of clickUP to drive the FLY@UP project.
