This link contains the Recording Session from March 10th, 2016:
- Isaiah Andrea from Blackboard Support presented a SQL Query that builds a Course Report to show User Activity by Item.
Note: The Query can only be run on OpenDB (Not ASR):
SUM(CA.ACCESS_MINUTES) * 60 AS TOTAL_TIME_IN_SEC,
SUM(CA.CONTENT_ACCESS_STARTS) AS TIME_ACCESSED,
MIN(CA.INITIAL_DATETIME_ACCESS) AS ACCESS_TIME
CA.LOGIN_PK1 = SA.LOGIN_PK1
LEFT JOIN COURSE_CONTENTS CC
CA.CONTENT_PK1 = CC.PK1
CA.COURSE_PK1 = CM.PK1
CA.USER_PK1 = U.PK1
WHERE CM.COURSE_ID='ENTER COURSE ID HERE'
AND U.USER_ID='ENTER USER ID HERE'
AND SA.LOGIN_TIME BETWEEN TO_DATE('01-04-2016','MM-DD-YYYY') AND TO_DATE('03-08-2016','MM-DD-YYYY')
GROUP BY CA.CONTENT_PK1, CC.TITLE;
The query above can potentially gets updated and used in BIRT to develop a custom reporting B2 which was our second topic.
- Brett Stephens from the University Of Miami also talked about developing a custom building block via BIRT. For those who are interested on creating their first Blackboard B2 BIRT Custom Report, please follow the instructions in this VIDEO
