Even though the number of students enrolled in online courses is increasing at an enormous rate, there is an increased level of concern with retention rates for online courses across all institution types, according to the Babson Research Survey Group. With the right tools and support, faculty can help decrease some of these concerns. For example, there are several Blackboard Learn tools that faculty can use to monitor real-time tracking of student performance from the course onset, to identify at-risk patterns of behavior before they become serious problems, and to detect which students are mastering certain achievements, competencies, and learning outcomes. So, look no further. Blackboard Learn tools, R2-D2, are here to the rescue.
