Ensuring Faculty and Institutional Adoption: University of Lincoln and University of Free State

Version 4

Join us for a panel in which two renown Universities will share their experience on ensuring faculty and institutional adoption of technology. Sue Watling, Senior Lecturer in Educational Development, will showcase how an Action Research methodology has proved successful in encouraging staff who teach and support learning at the University of Lincoln (UK) to engage with a range of Blackboard tools, successfully reducing barriers and encouraging adoption. Linley Fourie, Senior Officer (Learning Designer) and Marilyn Sparks, Senior Officer (Learning Designer), will explore how Learning Designers at the University of Free State (South Africa) facilitate and support the adoption processes associated with blended learning at the institution. Such processes are paramount to the improvement objectives of the institution, such as raising awareness of quality teaching and learning, developing excellent teachers, and engaging students for success. The sessions will be followed by a Q&A moderated by Chris Merrick, VP, International Marketing at Blackboard.
